The inaugural Purple Soirée is an elegant evening dedicated to celebrating and honoring the lives of people impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner and program highlighting the work of the Alzheimer's Association at the historic Tea Room in downtown Des Moines. The evening will conclude with entertainment by Jay Allen, an Iowa native and rising country music star, making headlines last year for a song he wrote, Blank Stares, for his mother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. To date, Jay has helped the Alzheimer's Association raise over $30 million.
